> איזה ספר אתה קורא ומה אתה יכול לספר עליו?
The Bridge, by David Remnick. It is the story of Obama’s  political rise by the editor of the “The New Yorker” magazine, who is considered to be one of the top American journalist. I was interested in this story since Obama is the President of the United States in a time of such profound significance ( with respect to Iran, the middle east peace process, the American and world economies, North Korea….) and he is a politically inexperienced leader. My interest lies in understanding what makes certain people successful, especially when they come from such disadvantaged backgrounds. What enables a man like this to succeed?  How was he able to turn disadvantage into strength. He is a politician but besides this, he is an admirable human being. How to be or stay a human being when struggling to survive and succeed is what drew me to this book

> מיהו הסופר האהוב עליך ביותר?
.I have no favorite authors. I keep discovering new authors and their special tale and their talent

> הספר האהוב עלייך ביותר?
My favorite book list changes as I discover new books.   For now, my favorite book is  Team of Rivals by Dorathy Kearns Goodwin. It is the story of Abraham Lincoln told in such an intimate way that you feel you are standing over his shoulders as his life unfolds. This is the story of an exceptional human being. Brilliant, modest , successful, and a true leader. Another example of a person who came from such a disadvantaged background and excelled.  people claimed that he was melancholic but this man single handedly kept the nation’s spirits lifted during the civil war. He was able to take his political opponents and invite them into his cabinet and work with them. They all thought they were smarter than Lincoln until each learned, in a subtle way, how talented and special Lincoln was. At his death, his most fierce rivals were crying for their deep loss of a president and friend. Thanks to Obama for this books recommendation. If for nothing else, Obama reads interesting books

Michael Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and Clay was also a wonderful book.
